You're right, it's very touching. I don't know if I would be able to sit through a trial like that, so I commend the family for their courage and dedication. I hope they find the closure they seek, and I hope her death was not in vain.

The two main perpetrators got a sentence of a mandatory 15 years in prison. Here's the follow-up story:

Hi susie , i think those two murderers didnt get enough time for what they did to that beautiful girl! but they will pay in the after life ,I guess ? Wendi:mad:
I always get emotional when I read of a hate crime (that is what it is) such as this. We see a few of them here in Canada every year.
I am equally upset to read or hear of a suicide over gender or gender issues. In the latter I blame society at large. Ignorance is not bliss.
Now to go wipe a tear....
